Adam Douglas Thompson

 

 

Extending the creative spirit engaged in winemaking and the collaborative engagement between winemaker and land, The Red Hook Winery is very excited to begin collaborating with visual artists. We are incredibly grateful to Brooklyn artist, Adam Douglas Thompson, for his interpretations of The Red Hook Winery.

Adam Douglas Thompson is an artist, designer, and teacher. Thompson is a cartoonist for The New Yorker and his work has been exhibited at Untitled Art Fair, Auxiliary Projects, ReginaRex, Centotto, Transmitter Gallery, the Cairo Video Festival, and the Boston Center for the Arts, among other venues, and he is a recipient of the 2014 ArtSlant Prize. A Book of 100 of his drawings, titled #1359-1458, was published by Regency Arts Press, Ltd. (2010), and his work has been featured in magazines including Electric Literature and The Believer. He teaches design at Brooklyn College and Kingsborough Community College and lives in Brooklyn with his wife, writer Helen Phillips, and their children.
